Inspirational Video: Thumbs-Up Everybody! Rock and Roll!
Two of the surest ways to kill joy in our lives, is to live in the past, and compare ourselves to others.
Most of us learned how to ride a bicycle by spending several of our childhood years first pushing the pedals on a tricycle. We didn’t learn to walk, and then immediately move into expert or world-class status as a cyclist. Each day we strove for progress, not perfection.
Yet, in most ventures as adults, we’re tempted to beat ourselves up and get frustrated that we’re not learning, moving, growing or developing as fast as someone else. Here’s a reminder to stop comparing your beginning to everyone else’s middle or end. We all started out as a novice.
The little guy in this inspirational video seems to have learned this lesson early in life. He put the crashes, meltdowns, and heartaches of falling off the bike behind him, and kept pushing onward towards success.
Rock and Roll!
Don’t give up. You can get the hang of it, I know it!
