Can You Follow Your Bliss?

OK, you know by now that I love to find tricks and tools that bring simplicity and clarity to the complex and confusing.

Follow Your Bliss yoogozi

Here, my friends, is one of the best I’ve found.  When this Venn Diagram was shared with me earlier this past year by one of our team members, it was like a V-8 moment for me.  I’m not going to offer a description of the diagram, nor walk you through each cell; instead, I’d like you to take some time to simply reflect on how it captures so much information in just four overlapping circles.

Follow Your Bliss

I think the first time I heard the expression “Follow your bliss” was in 1987, watching the sun rise, at The Harmonic Convergence at the top of Mount Tamalpias in Marin County, CA.  I know now that it’s Joseph Campbell who’s credited for offering this prescription for what ails you.  While some of Campbell’s theories are a little cookoo for me, I totally dig and accept the idea of following your bliss.  Finding things you love, and doing things you love, will lead to more things that you love.

Have you had the opportunity to follow your bliss? No, you’ve not? Either way, I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments about this in the comment section below.
